Moosie Monday......

Hello all...

Starting today, I declare every Monday, 'Moosie Monday'.  Every Monday, I will post something specific for my little Mooser.  Today I will start with one of his many 'Moosie Statistics'.  {Maybe he needs a career change}  :)

Moosie Statistic #23
Odds say, that 8 out of every 10 times I sneak on the bed, I am allowed to stay on the bed.  {lucky odds}
There is a heaven and it exists in my house.

Hope you have a great evening.

New pudgie pictures....

Thank goodness my two pudges are so photogenic, and that they put up with my constant picture taking....

I wish I knew what Moosie was thinking some days...the looks he gives are almost like he thinks I can understand him and read his mind.

This is the house where love lives....

Here is a few pictures of my most recent project.  I had a vision in my head of a cool looking, machine sewn house on the page, with a few random splatters of glimmer mist (love this stuff) sprayed around for good measure.
The finished project wasnt' anything close to my vision, but I still love how it turned out.

The title of the piece is "This is the house where LOVE lives".....very appropriate.

Thanks for looking and have a great night!

Poem Thursday's......

I'm actually a little surprised that I've taken to this 'poem writing' and how much I am enjoying it.  In some ways, it brings out the words and feelings that seem to run thru this demented brain of mine.  Therefore, instead of bombarding you every day with poem's :), I'm going to accumulate them weekly, and 'publish' them on Thursday's.

"Poem Thursday's" is born!

Let's kick it off with a new one....

hope you enjoy.

To Be
to become...
to remain....

Balancing the spiritual side of the brain,
with the realistic side.
carrying the Burden, following the shore,
overcoming the danger.

to exist...
to take effect....

Driven by the disorder and stranded.
Compelled by the earth and the sea.
The Beam of sun mixes with the
oil of the soil.

to be patient...
to make happy...

Repeating the frequency,
the apparatus called life.
To be.

Have a great Thursday!

New poem and a peek at the drive to/from work.....

Here's a new poem...hope you enjoy!

It was raining, and
through the window was a Blue Jay.
Little time, too busy, no vacation.
She asked,
in her own words,
She was home
But the sound of her father's voice
echoed through the playground.
She thought, she hurt,
as she stood in the big top,
the circus people surrounded her.
The sound echoed and echoed,
as the rain fell.

This one was 'inspired' by a Children's book.

Here is some pictures (in a cool new camera app on my phone) of my drive to/from work today.  I'm having alot of fun with this app and it makes ordinary pictures, extraordinary.  :)

Have a fantastic evening!

Another exercise in "Inner Excavation" is to write poetry using a 'word toolbox'.  I am finding that this is actually a very easy (and fun) way to create INSTANT POETRY.  One method of a 'word toolbox' is to tear a page from a old dictionary, magazine, or book.  You highlight words that catch your eye and use these as prompts to create your masterpiece.

Here is my first ever try...

I play on emotions
to free the velvet instrument
of pleasure inside myself
The music sings my story
of Gold and Silver, and the
feather plumes adorn my stout
and rosy head
Water soothes the ornament of life
and is plentiful
Don't argue, this is the path of
my story....
Love is abundant.

This is another poem that I wrote last night.  See if you can guess where the 'word toolbox' came from.

Define the self
Single energy, mutual effect,
multiple frequency
Three phases to Build self respect
Chapter Two, test the self
Direct energy, name the differences
let your skin feel the wire
Chapter Nine.
Remove the graphic nature,

Try it, you might like it.  :)

I am....

I am reading a new book these days, titled "Inner Excavation", by Liz Lamoreux.  I would highly recommend the book if you are interested in discovering yourself through Photography, Poetry and Mixed Media.  It is an awesome read and has great exercises that walk you through each step.

A current chapter is about writing about yourself.  I started 'doodling' thoughts in a humungo (again with the made up words) art pad a couple of days ago.  In re-reading my words, you can start to form an idea of the inner workings of my mind and beliefs.  I thought I'd share a tid-bit or two below.

I am...
free, unique, open, 'outside the lines' kinda girl.  I love the quiet, love to listen to the wind, and love rainy days.  I prefer the open sky to the tall city landscape.  I like the smell of fresh baked cookies, fresh cut grass, and freshly washed sheets.

I am an ol' soul, always questioning life and why humans act the way they do.
I am in-de-pen-dent (think Hermie in Rudolph) and march to my own beat.  I am a frequent day-dreamer and am 'not here' many days.  My mind is a constant river, always flowing with thoughts.
Human frailty and logic intrigue me and I believe in the better good in man.

My favorite colors are green and orange.  I love sweatshirts, flip flops, and Sunday mornings.  A good cup o' Joe, a brand new newspaper, and the crisp air.
I am reserved, a risk taker (kinda the opposite, huh?).  I am okay when I'm alone, but am happiest when with people I love dearly.  Unfortunately, I don't believe in forever, but I do believe in a 'long time'.

I believe we are all connected - humans, animals, plants, and planet earth.   What one does, affects the other other.  Humans are not always right, most often are wrong.  If you take the time to listen to Mother Nature, she will always tell you which path is right.
The eyes tell all - truth AND lies.  Words are important, but actions speak louder than words.

I am reminded of a popular song, "Love like Crazy", buy Lee Brice.
"Be your best friend, tell the truth, and overuse I love you
Go to work, do your best, don't outsmart your common sense
Never let your prayin knees get lazy
And love like crazy"
Powerful words to live by.

I believe in today.  Live it, because tomorrow may never come.  Live without regrets.  Do everything you want to do, don't wait.  Never look back, but understand that what happened to you in the past, makes you who you are today.  Keep learning.  Learn something new everyday; no matter how small.

I find peace in the mountains, when no one is around.  All I hear is the gentle call of the wind, a subtle flap of a birds wings, a trickle of water from a nearby stream.  This is solitude and peace at its very best.
Cherish every moment, look around and notice the small things.  Get down on your hands and knees and look closely at the ground.  Look high up into the tree tops.  Stop and listen.  Look for the slightest movement.  There is a wee world that exists that many just walk right past.  Notice the dew on the leaves and run your fingers across the tree bark.  Look to the sky and wonder why.

Always ask questions, never settle for 'just because'.  Laugh everyday, and LOVE LIKE CRAZY.

New Projects of the Pudges

I thought I'd share a couple of new projects that I just completed of the little pudges...I just can't seem to get enough of their adorableness (is that a word?!?!).  I hope you like 'em as much as I do.  :)

and so it began....

WOW...I can't believe it.  I am actually doing it.  :)

Peer pressure, society pressure, yada, yada, yada.    I will just give it a 'good ol' college try' and wing it.  I would suspect that many of my blog posts will be about random ideas and thoughts with a crafty project or two thrown in for good measure.  I might mix it up with a 'wanna be' photographic picture here and there just to keep it interesting.  If this is something that might interest you, follow along.

Sound good??  So get in, get on, and let's go.
