Now that October is rapidly approaching, I'm in full 'Halloween mode'.  I LOVE Halloween.  It's my favorite holiday and can't get enough.  I love the colors, the weather, and the fun decorations.
{I apologize in advance if I create too many Halloween projects :)}
Here a layout I created yesterday using MME Mischievous collection from last year.  This is a fabulous collection and I can't get enough of it.
I had alot of fun creating the graphic piece on the bottom right.  I painted over a Crafters Workshop stencil with black paint then cut out pieces of PP to fit in random spots of paint.

Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a super crafty week!

CCG#210 and a couple of layouts for LBD

Happy Friday everyone!

Today, I'd like to share several layouts/projects.

Yesterday was this weeks reveal for Color Combos Galore.  I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the palette this week.  Colors right up my alley.  I love it so much, I might have to do another layout.  :)

This month’s theme is all about books and reading, we have a lot of fun images and challenges in store for you so let’s get started!! This week's Designer Challenge: Focus on Paper - Architectural, Woodgrain, Ledger or Geometric. Lots of possibilities! This challenge is designed for you to include any of these papers into your project. I hope you have fun with it this week!

Since Halloween is right around the corner {doing a mini Halloween dance}, I thought I'd create a project that I could display for Halloween.  I used one of the new 7 gypsies solo trays (which I won a few weeks ago- thank you 7gypsies) and the MME Halloween collection from last year.  (perfect match for palette this week)

The shadow box was white, so I painted it to match one of the colors from the palette.  I then used a Ranger Distress stain to antique it a bit.  I wanted a more vintage, worn look, so I covered the entire piece with Ranger Distress Crackle Paint.  (love, love, love this stuff).

I cut my paper to fit in each cubby, filled the cubbies with fun MME and Tim Holtz embellies.  In order to hang the shadow box, I screw 2 mini hangers on the top and wrapped ribbon thru the holes.  I also screwed a mini hanger on the bottom and hung another Halloween embellishment from the MME collection.

I had alot of fun creating this shadow box and can't wait to create some more.

Here's the finished project....

and here are lots of close-ups....

I would also like to share 2 more layouts/projects I created for The Little Black Dress kit club, with the September kit.

Titled 'Fly High'

The last share is a quick project I created using bits and pieces from the September kit, plus a canvas that I had laying around.

I hope you enjoyed my shares.  As always, your comments are appreciated.

I hope your weekend is SUPER FAB!!

The Paper Bakery - September Add On Kit - big BANG for the buck.

Happy Happy Tuesday!

Just a quick share of more layouts I created for The Paper Bakery, using their Sept Add On Kit.  For only a few dollars, I was able to create 4 layouts, with still stuff left.  I could probably still create another 2 layouts or mini projects with this kit.  Sarah has a great eye and puts the most amazing stuff together...You can check out the kit details HERE.

Titled 'Nearly 21'
This is my oldest son, just a few weeks back.  He will be 21 on Thursday!!  What happened?  How did time go by so fast??

I snuck a little journaling under the main photo to describe how I feel about him turning 21.

Titled 'The Accidental Tourist'

This photo was taken during the same week as the one above.  The kids and I went to Moab for a long weekend and had a great time.

the last layout for today is titled 'Summertime swingin'

That's all for today...have a great one!

The Creative Soup - September Sketch Class #5

Happy Tuesday!

This month over at 'The Creative Soup', Kristin has created awesome sketches for great inspiration and crafty guidance.  Every Tuesday and Thursday, she posts a new sketch that includes the CT interpretation of the sketch.  You should really CHECK IT OUT - the CT created amazing layouts and it's great to see how different everyone's layouts are.

Here's sketch #5.......

And here is my take on the challenge.

Titled 'Ordinary Wonder'
Supply List: Background paper and stickers (Echo Park), die cuts (Etsy find), Alphas (Sassfras).
Designer notes: Instead of using 4 photos, I used one photo, and used the other 'photo areas' for my title and journaling. I move the strip of paper (that is shown behind the photos) to a grouping of diecuts and stickers in it's place.

As always, your comments are appreciated! Have a great one!
