Making Memories Guest Designer

Happy Wednesday my crafty friends!  I hope everyone has been busy with their holiday crafting and spending time with family and friends.

Just a quick share today - Over at the Making Memories blog, I was their guest designer for the day.

I have always loved Making Memories products and I was so excited when they contacted me a couple of months ago about this GDT opportunity.

I pulled out (from my stash) some of their lovely 'Noel' collection and created these 2 layouts.

Happy Sunday everyone!  For those in the U.S., I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving and you were able to share it with friends and family.

Today, I thought I'd share 2 more layouts from the November Little Black Dress kit.  I think this kit was one of my all-time fave LBD kits.

This is a picture of my little baby Flikka.  The picture was actually a reject...my printer was running out of ink, but I kinda liked the effect, so I kept it.

Sunday full of Snowmen!

Happy Sunday, yup, another day of project shares!

This past week, I created these 2 fun Snowmen projects for The Paper Bakery.  For all the details and how-to's, visit THE PAPER BAKERY BLOG.

The first one was made with bits and pieces of scraps from the November Kits.

The second projects was also started with bits and pieces from the November kit, plus some paint, rub-on's, doodling, and all sorts of fun stuff!

Stuck?! Nov 15th Sketch Challenge

Happy Snowy Saturday!!

Today, just a quick share (why break my week long share pattern?)  :)

I had some spare time, so I thought I'd participate in the Nov 15th Stuck?! Sketch Challenge.  It was an awesome sketch, check it out!

As you can see, I flipped the sketch upside down for my layout.  Here is my take.

Ready for another day of shares??

Happy Friday!  I am sooo glad it is finally here.  My dad is coming tomorrow for Thanksgiving and I am so excited!  :)

Here goes....
I created this project using the add-on kit from The Paper Bakery, plus some of my own goodies from my stash. (TH tray and paint)

I started with a Tim Holtz Configuration Tray (can you say LOVE?) and painted it off white.  After that was dry, I brushed a coat of crackle paint on for a vintage effect.  Next, I liberally coated the entire piece with a Peeled Paint Distress Stain.  If you haven't tried these out yet, they are fab-u-lous!

After the entire tray was dry, I started fussy cutting the fun little embellishments for each section.  I used the Echo Park 'Holly Jolly' sticker sheet (from the kit) for this part.  To make the sticker more 'durable' and easier to stand up, I stuck them to a piece of white cardstock before I cut them out. 

I used EK Success Mega Dots to get the depth in each little box.  (these are awesome BTW - I must get more)  I added some Stickles to several pieces and glued it all in place.  I wrapped the ribbon from the kit around the entire tray and Viola!  You have a cute Holiday decoration.
