Hi! It's Friday and only 6 more days till CKU! :)
I was up with a project on the MME blog on Wednesday that I totally love! I made Ink Splatter Art with a few mini canvases and MME! What a perfect combination! These were so much fun, I might have to create a collage of them for my scrappy room. :)
I love getting messy with paints, sprays, and inks. I love the look of splatters and mists, and am always looking for ways to create cool and fun artsy backgrounds for my projects.
I used the following technique on layouts and it creates a great splatter look, but I thought it would be fun to experiment on some scrapbook studio wall art.
Step One
Gesso several mini (2 in x 2 in) canvas panels.
Step Two
This is where the fun starts. Create an Ink Splatter using the following technique. Let dry.
Step Three
Layer Chipboard elements, Buttons, Enamel Dots, Stickers, Brads, or Doilies to create a 'statement'.Layer Step Three over Splattered Canvases and place on patterned paper.
Frame. I usually leave the glass out of the frame because of the 3D dimension of the piece.
What ways can you think of using Ink Splatters and/or mini canvases on your next project. I would LOVE to see them.
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
