Alcohol Ink Tutorial

Hello everyone!  Before I get to the tutorial, and you haven't had a chance to enter my MASSIVE GIVEAWAY, here is the link....

A few weeks back, I shared this layout for CSI - Case File #6

I've had several several crafty friends ask how I created the layout, so I created a short video of my design process and several alcohol ink techniques.  I hope you enjoy it.  I'd love to hear what type of alcohol ink projects you've created.  Share a link- I'll check 'em out.

Have a great week and thank you for stopping by.

Scrapbook Room Pre-Makeover GIVEAWAY and a bunch of LYB projects

Hello friends!  A couple of days ago, I posted a video of my scrapbook room, pre-makeover.  This past weekend, I went through all of my stash and did a MAJOR PURGE!

Because I am too lazy to take pictures and post every separate item to sell 'em, I thought I would GIVE IT TO YOU, my fellow crafty friends.  There is so much stuff in this giveaway, it will probably fill 4-5 shipping boxes. WOW!

The giveaway includes the below:

Hambly rub-ons, MME stickers, Sassafras stickers, OA rub-ons, Glitz rub-ons, etc. etc. etc.

Crafty inspiration books!

Stamps!! Basic Grey, Tattered Angels, Stampin Up, etc. etc. etc.

Mini Albums Galore!  Pink Paislee, Maya Road, OA, Glitz

Stencils!  Crafter's Workshop, Studio Calico, Prima

Endless supply of Flowers!  Lots of Prima!  Basic Grey, Sassafras

Ribbon Galore!  American Crafts, Stampin Up, etc. etc. etc.

Paper Tape, Chipboard Embellies, Die Cuts and more!  7 gypsies, American Crafts, Pebbles, etc. etc. etc.

Glitter Glam and and entire set of untouched Stampin Up markers!

More stickers, rub-ons, adhesive, and STUFF!

Lots of Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue!!  Look at this goodness!!

And almost 3 INCHES of PAPER!  Yup, you heard it right!!  Lots of Crate Paper, Studio Calico, Basic Grey, Graphic45, Authentique, Sassafras, MME, and it goes on and on and on!

So here are the details and special notes!  Please read them closely!

Almost all of this stuff is new and un-used.  There are a few exceptions, such as:
a couple of the stamps have been used, 1 stencil has been used, there are a few of the sticker sheets that are missing 1 or 2 stickers, and a little here and there.
the Glitter Glam is slightly used, and the Pebbles chipboard embellies have been opened, but only 1 pack has been used.  The rest is waiting for your creative talents!

In order to qualify for the giveaway, you can earn ONE chance for each thing you do below.

1.  Become a follower to my blog and leave a comment that you are a new follower.

2.  If you are already a follower, leave a comment saying you are already a follower.

3.  If you share this post on your blog, leave a comment with a link to your posting.

4.  I will also share this post on my Facebook page.  Leave a comment on my Facebook post for another entry.

The giveaway is open until midnight (Mountain Standard Time) March 2nd, 2012.  I will randomly pick a winner and post the winner on my blog on March 3rd.

I want to share this opportunity with all my friends, no matter where you live, but because of the shipping costs, (I am estimating this to be 4-5 boxes of stuff) I must limit the giveaway to my International friends to include the following:  {super sad face}

If you live outside of the US, and your number is chosen, you have 2 choices:
1) I can send you the Pink Paislee Vintage Vogue collection, plus some other goodies, or
2) pay 1/2 the shipping for EVERYTHING!

Your choice!

In the circumstance the winner chosen is International, and they choose the 1st option, I will randomly pick another winner, etc. etc. etc.

If you live within the US and your number is chosen, you will receive all the goodies!  End of Story!

Sound good??

Now on to the LYB shares!

I recently got my hands on some LYB product, so I thought I'd share what I've been up to with it.

Some doggie (and Paper Bakery) {love}....

Happy Sunday!  I hope everyone has had a terrific weekend and you were able to get in some crafty time.  I don't know about you, but when I can fit in some creative time, it always makes me happier!

Today, I would like to share a couple of layouts created using sketches for inspiration.

Every month, the Paper Bakery hosts 2 sketch challenges.  Our very own Grace Tolman is our in-house sketch artist and the February #2 sketch was another amazing one!

Here is the sketch.

and my take on the sketch.  I used product from the January Project kit to create this layout.*(plus some goodies from my stash).

My second layout share is another sketch layout.  This week, the Paper Bakery is the sponsor over at Sketch Inspiration, and the PB DT got to play along.

Here is Sketch #309.

I rotated the sketch 90degrees and here is my layout.

There is still time to play along with both sketch challenges.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Have a great day and thank you for stopping by.  :)

CSI Case File #8 'Sweet Vintage You'

Happy Saturday.  I hope you are having a wonderful weekend and can get some crafty time in.  :)

As promised, today, I am sharing my layout for CSI - Case File #8.  Debbi outdid herself AGAIN and created another amazing case for us to solve.

Here is the totally amazing challenge...

Don't you just love that palette?  And such wonderful Evidence and Testimony prompts.

The evidence that I found at the crime scene, included:
1.  Transparent elements
2.  Liquid mediums - distress ink with water

The testimony I recieved from the suspect, stated:
"My mom, twirling her baton, and marching to her own beat, she is a superstar to me"

Here are some closeups of the layout...

And here is the finished layout...

For those who are interested, I made a short video that walks you through my design process and shares a couple of quick stamping tips.  I hope you enjoy!

Stop by CSI and check out what the other DT members created.  As usual, they are AMAZING!

Thank you for taking time out of your busy weekend and stopping by.  Have a wonderful day!

Scrapbook Room Pre Makeover

Hi everyone!

Over at CSI - Debbi had asked the DT to share pictures or videos of our scrappy spaces.  So, I thought it would be fun to create a video and walk you through my space and share some of my 'storage ideas'. :)

I wanted to share my space after I completed my makeover, but I haven't started the project yet, except for buying the paint.  So, I thought it would be interesting to share a before and after view.

So here is the pre-makeover peek.  I'll be sure and share a video of my space after the makeover is complete!

For those of you who don't want to watch a video, I've also added several photos of my space.

This one is of my work space.  I push my laptop against the wall and create away.

This is basically where all my 'stuff' is stored.  I 'try' and store my product by type, chipboard, flowers, stickers, die-cuts, doilies, etc.  As you can see, I'm running out of room.

This is my misting and painting area.  I used the box from my printer and turned it into a misting station.  I also store all my mists, etc. in this area.  Below, I keep magazines, etc. for inspiration.

and the last photo is where I store my paper.  I generally store my paper by color, but I also will store by collection or company.

I hope you've enjoyed a little peek into my crafty space.  Thank you for taking the time to stop by.

Have a great week!
