Pretty Little Studio has long been a favorite manufacturer of mine.  I was on the Design Team awhile back and thoroughly enjoyed creating with PLS product.  I love the whimsical, vintage feel that is evident in each collection.  Today, I am sharing a project using one of the newest collections, 'Marigold'.

The color palette and design elements in Marigold are on trend and colorful.  And who doesn't love butterflies!

I layered a sheet of Marigold vellum over a sheet of white cardstock for a subtle pattern.  I kept my embellishments minimal so that the layout felt light and airy.

Another favorite technique is using Twine for a pop of color and texture.  I love how this reddish/orange solid twine adds the perfect amount of color.  And as an added bonus, it matches the color palette in Marigold wonderfully.

I was so inspired by both product collections, I created a second project - a mixed media canvas, using several Marigold die-cuts and twine to create my project.

What is a Blog Hop without prizes???

Be sure and hop with us for these 3 days, visiting the Design Team blogs for an incredible amount of inspiration.  Here's what you have a chance of winning.

A $50 Gift Certificate from Pretty Little Studio

and a Striped Twine Sampler from The Twinery, valued at $65

Also, Pretty Little Studio is offering 20% on orders during the Hop!  Love this!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a wonderful day!

Very pretty layouts. Love the butterflies in the first page.
The muted colors in the second really pops the owl.
thanks for sharing.

I enjoy butterflies so much. I don't use orange much except for Halloween but the butterfly makes me want it for a LO.
