Art Journal Planner - February 2015

Hello and Happy Friday!  Today, I am sharing my February Art Journal Planner reveal!

Last month, I introduced this new monthly series HERE!  Each month, I will share my finished pages and how I completed my previous month's calendar.

This amazing Art Journal Planner is by the wonderful Catherine Matthews-Scanlon.  She has created an amazing base for a year long journal of recording my thoughts and feelings, while getting creative at the same time.

I don't believe she has any planners left, but if you would really want one, let me know and I'll send her a note.  :)

Catherine is also playing along with us this month.  Please take a minute and check out her Art Journal Planner HERE!

Let's start with my finished January Calendar.  I kept my color palette and design, fun, free, and whimsical.  I used Sakura Gelly Pens to complete my monthly spread.

I highlighted special days, favorite quotes, and inspiring song lyrics during the month.

Some days were combined if a feeling or thought carried over through several days.

I added a favorite quote and illustrations to emphasize my OLW for 2015, HOME!

I have heard the song 'Landslide' by Stevie Nicks a 1,294,543,282,034 times, but this month, I REALLY listened to the lyrics for the first time and they hit me like a brick.  So I added a rather personal verse of the song to my month.

I had so much fun filling in my calendar without an end result in mind.  It was freeing and fulfilling!

But the fun didn't stop there...

I also painted a couple of the gorgeous Original Catherine Scanlon drawings, included in the planner.

My first page is BRIGHT, BOLD, and COLORFUL!

It was painted with Ranger, Dina Wakley Heavy Body Paints.

Nothing like this paint for beautiful coverage and texture.

My 2nd page was painted with Shimmerz Metallic Inklingz!  Love these!

I love the soft, subtle color palette, with the metallic shimmerz.  Quite the contrast to the previous page.

My final page was created with February in mind.  Keeping with the traditional reds and pinks of the holiday season, I painted this page with Shimmerz new Creameez!  Hands down my favorite product!

I outlined the entire page with a white doodle pen.  I usually use a black pen, but am lovin' how the white looks.

And my February Calendar header, completed using the same product.

I cannot wait to complete February!  See you this time next month for a new reveal!

Thanks for stopping by!  Have a great week!

p.s. If you were inspired by my use of Shimmerz products, when you place an order, please mention my name in the 'Instructions to Merchant' section.  You will receive FREE Shimmerz product! Easy Peasy!

Tina, I just love the colors on all of these, think I want to try the Shimmerz, the gold is way cool! Thanks for letting me play along with you this month!

I do have 2 planners left, both have custom covers, one is bound and the other is unbound. One is in my Etsy Shop and the other is sitting on my desk waiting for me to do something with it!
